Points to note:
- We design our Loft bed Legs with a maximum Height of 72" thus giving the
Loft bed more of a streamlined look, the original design used taller legs,
but popular demand requested we shorten them.
- If you are interested in a "Medium" Loft bed, we suggest that you request
a "Medium/Tall" - this combination has us drill extra holes so you can
adjust the height of the mattress from the Medium level to the Tall level at
your location without special tools other then loosening 8 bolts and
adjusting the mattress support boards.
- Very few people purchase either the short or even the Medium only - most
people purchase the Medium/Tall or the Tall - the key reason one purchases a
Loft bed is to have lots of room under the Loft bed.
- Custom options - just call us and we'll let you know if what you're
looking to do is feasible and what the additional cost is.
- We can ship to any state other then Hawaii (because we're jealous we're
not there) and Alaska (because we're happy we're not there.)
- We have designed and built Loft bed's that are taller then above, please
email or call us for more information and the added cost.
- The column above "Max. Height of Mattress Guardrail," gives you the
absolute maximum height of the highest point on the Loft bed - this guardrail
is horizontally positioned above the mattress top to prevent the Loft bed
occupant from rolling out of the Loft bed.
Dimensions - Tall & Medium Height Loft Bed
If you are wondering if the Loft bed will fit in your particular room, here
are the overall (outside to outside) dimensions for each size:
Twin: 46" Wide X 83" Long X 90 3/4" Tall
Twin Extra Long: 46" Wide X 88" Long X 90 3/4" Tall
Full: 62" Wide X 83" Long X 90 3/4" Tall
Queen: 70" Wide X 88" Long X 90 3/4" Tall
King: 88" Wide X 88" Long X 90 3/4" Tall
On the Tall Height (Original) Loft bed the mattress platform is adjustable
to:
60-1/2", 63-1/4", or 66" above the floor. On the Medium Height Loft bed, the
mattress platform is adjustable to 49 1/2", 46 3/4", or 44" above the floor.
The uprights on the Tall Height Loft bed can be shortened somewhat to fit
rooms with low ceilings. Also, up to one foot can safely be added to the

The top mattress platform is adjustable and has three standard positions

WARNING - If you have or are considering our standard Loft bed design, the
maximum height of the mattress is what is stated above, you can not extend the
legs to increase the height. By extending the legs on our standard design, you
will change the center of gravity and thus make the Loft bed potentially
unstable. We have an alternate design that should you wish to have a taller
Loft bed, it allows us to increase the height and maintain the structural
integrity of the original Loft bed design.
